Daily activities of team:
  • Connect with relevant application teams to understand day’s task and updates from developers (using mail, Skype, Phone, Work flow application)
  • Go thru release plan, functional and non-functional details to create / update test scenario, test cases and test data
  • Prepare test plan to decide testing types, phases, dependencies and build release criteria
  • Create / update test scenario, test cases and test data set as per requirement
  • Carry out sanity testing of the build deployed on QA environment to decide if build is ready for QA testing
  • Execute relevant test cases and report defects and daily test status repost in pre-decided template / tools
  • Participate in team meeting (with developers, other QA members)
  • Prepare metrics to understand quality trend of each release, developer and QA working at team
The team usually consists of following profiles:
  • Test manager with software development experience of 8+ years, Managed Test Center experience of 5+ years and hands-on for testing tasks
  • Manual tester with experience of open source and licensed tools such as TFS, VSTS, QualityCenter, Jira, Mantis, Bugzilla….
  • Automation testers with experience of QTP, Selenium…
  • Performance testers with experience of LoadRunner, WAPT, jMeter…
